Work Experience
I am a visual designer and researcher. I have amassed 20 years’ graphic design experience working in Ireland, the UK and New Zealand. My diverse range of clients include global corporate and luxury brands, international NGOs, healthcare sector, wellness organisations, tourism groups, sports labels, and SMEs.
I have creative agency and freelance experience. I have also worked in the public and private sectors as an in-house designer. My visual design capabilities include corporate identity and branding, visual communications and campaigns, packaging and signage, environmental graphics and UI design.
I am a creative ideas person and enjoy working across all aspects of the design process. I have a natural flare for administrative tasks and for project and event management. My roles have spanned the creative, client facing and administration sides of the design business.
I hold a Masters in Design Research and a Professional Diploma in UX. I am a design nerd who loves the research process, facilitating workshops, idea generation, presenting concepts, turning insights into visual artefacts, creating prototypes, and evolving designs all the way through to development.
People Person
I am a warmhearted and fun-loving human with a roll up the sleeves, can-do attitude. I'm a real people person, I love to network and connect with others. I have experience working with patients, researchers, public and private sector professionals.
I enjoy guiding those who have no experience through the design process, and supporting clients every step of the way through using a human centred and design-led approach.
Professional Progression
I thrive through continued learning and goal setting. I have a HDip in Visual Communications (H1, 2003), BDes in Interactive Media (H1, 2004), Professional Diploma in User Experience Design (Distinction, 2020) and a Masters in Design for Change (H1, 2022).
My keen interest in client relations and staff management led me to pursue an Advanced Diploma in Coaching (Distinction, 2019).
Program Knowledge
I work in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Invision and Miro. I am proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams, Zoom and Google Applications. I have experience working on the front and back end of website CMS and WordPress. I have knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO. I know my way around Asana, Slack, Trello, Workflow Max and Xero. I can work on both Mac and PC Operating Systems.
