Kasingo School

Some friends and I volunteered at the Kensingo School in Bolgatanga. The teachers briefed us on their set curriculum and provided guidelines for the shapes of the letters. Three classrooms were decorated with alphabets, words, numbers and colour descriptions. The younger years (classrooms 1&2) had just letters and images while the older group (classroom 3) also had word descriptions.

 All the materials were sourced locally in case upkeep was required. We used emulsion, some acrylic for colour and black gloss paint. It was an extremely uplifting and fulfilling experience and one which I will always cherish
